What the Phoenix Aerobatic Club Offers

Aerobatic Competitions: As one of the most active chapters in the IAC, PAC sponsors two IAC-sanctioned contests per year. The Copperstate Aerobatic Championships, a five-category contest, held in February and the Arizona State Aerobatic Championships, a five-category contest, held in November.

Critiquing Sessions: To help prepare for these contests, PAC sponsors sessions where pilots practice aerobatic maneuvers while a Judge coaches the pilot from the ground by radio.

Monthly Meetings: PAC holds meetings once a month, usually falling on the first Sunday, at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room in the Main Terminal Building at Chandler Municipal Airport. (CHD)

Judges School: Every two years, PAC sponsors a Judges School to train contest judges. These schools are open to pilots and non-pilots alike. The next school will be held in February, 2009.

Achievement Awards: We participate in the IAC Achievement Award Program which presents awards for attaining demonstrated aerobatic skill levels.

Monthly Newsletter: One of the most visible aspects of the club is its newsletter, which is free to all members.
